Focusing on respect, honor and responsibility
Proudly Indigenous owned, Clemenes Meadows provides services and advice specialized in strengthening Indigenous relationships with the values of respect, honour and responsibility.
The name Clemenes Meadows is the traditional and family lands of Christine Johnson, MA, BBA, (she/her), the proprietor of the business. The significance of Clemenes Meadows is what empowers Christine in her work towards Truth & Reconciliation and decolonization.
Where the two waters meet and become one
Christine is from the First Nations community of Esk’etemc. In 2019, four matriarchs from Esk’etemc presented her with the traditional name T.seseleĺckn, which translates from the Secwepemc language “where the two waters meet and become one”. Honouring the name provided by the matriarchs, Christine believes in her work of bringing together the traditional teachings and the Indigenous worldviews, together with the non-Indigenous Western perspectives.
If you and your organization are seeking consultation and advice towards building respectful working relationships with Indigenous people, contact Clemenes Meadows.
