Christine would like to showcase a bit of her history, as protocol within the indigenous community it is often common practice to discuss who the parents and grandparents are so that those in the room have an understanding of the individual.

Christine will start with her Kye7e (Grandmother) and her Mom, who have since passed on.

Kye7e Lottie Robbins

Matriarch of the wolf clan, Lottie was well equipped in her traditional knowledge and teachings with Secwepemc Culture and Language. Lottie taught Christine how to sew, sweatlodge, baking, food preparation, including gardening. Most of all Lottie instilled principals of patience, respect, and family values within her teachings.

Lottie loved to laugh and was also a great fan of her children and great grandchild when they played sports, especially hockey. She loved to yell around. One of her favorite sayings was 'I Love you all the same' as she had many children, grandchild, and great grand children.

Mother Edith Robbins

Edith took after her mom in so many ways, the determination, discipline, and principals.

Edith loved to help at events, fundraisers and most of all she loved to attend powwows where her grandchildren would be dancing.

Edith loved all her siblings, children, and grandchild to a high extent that she would do anything she can to ensure their safety and happiness.
