Wolf - Clemenes Meadows

Designed by Christine Johnson, Secwepemc First Nation and created by Kaylene Big Knife, Rocky Boy Montana.

The design includes two wolves, Christine is from a matriach society therefore she falls under the wolfclan, she always uses two wolves in her designs as the wolves represent her Kye7e (Grandma) and Xpe7e (Grandfater), the foot prints to represent the past and present. Four poppies in honor of her Xpe7e (Grandfather) Duncan Robbins who is a WW11 Veteran, the lotus flower to represent strength, resilience, and rebirth, the juniper berries as medicines used by the interior first nations, the green + + are to represent 'Clemenes Meadows' all underneath the Sun.

This design encompasses so much of what Clemenes Meadows stands for, you can see the beauty, strength, history and culture.
